TREK REPORT
28 September to 4 October 2011 I did a solo hike in a remote part of the Scottish Highlands. In five days I walked from Lochinver in the Northwest to Loch More, covering about 50 kilometers and climbing 3 peaks close to 1000 m. I camped out every night and enjoyed many roaring red deer as it was the rutting season. I also felt the isolation of trekking alone (no mobile phone coverage anywhere!), was annoyed by the Scottish midgets (small mosquitoes) that should have been gone this time of year and literally got blown of my feet by the strongest wind I’ve ever experienced.
